Crossing Turkey by Hitchhiking

Turkey is a land of extraordinary richness: between Europe and Asia, between tradition and modernity. But beyond its landscapes, it’s the people that make it one of the most amazing countries to cross by hitchhiking.

Be prepared for endless glasses of çay, spontaneous invitations, and long hangouts with locals who don’t speak English — and somehow, you still understand each other.

Just say “yes” to everything – accept all those detours, unexpected plans, moments you could never have arranged yourself. That’s usually when the best things happen.
